Memory assignments: Benedic Domine, Signum Crucis, Gloria Patri, Sanctus, Pater Noster, Kyrie, Doxa Patri, Triagion, Lord's Prayer (Greek). Read through Nicene Creed in Latin, discussing grammar systems, et al. These need to be memorized by the end of June, although there will be a grace period for the Creed. Continue memorizing both active and passive verb endings in Latin, all declensions, and declension endings in Greek (as per the fill-in chart from Mounce). Immediate response and recognition is our goal. I'm giving serious consideration to a "model response" time on Mondays. For example: [teacher:] "puellarum", [student:] "of the girls", [teacher:] "to/for the law", [student:] "legis", etc. This might be a little bit difficult in Greek due to the varying levels of study, although we can certainly try.

Vave family, during our Monday class we in Georia are also working through the following: Greek worksheets (from the blue book), Latin roots, Rummy Roots. We do these activites: nature studies, read through Book of Virtues, Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, Mad Libs, and trivia (both Bible and other). We should be finished with the Thinking Toolbox in a few weeks. Teresa teaches a "Poster Art" class with sketching assignments. We will be adding more literature in May, perhaps a Great Book. We will work through the writing schedule that was discussed during your visit. These classes flow in accordance with upcoming performances, field trips, and other areas of study, but they are generally consistent. Please include your choice (Vave family) of supplementary materials for Monday class, or follow along with us.

Be aware that Monday assignments are separate from Latin, Greek, and other studies throughout the week. Materials used during this time are not student books. Perhaps you would like to include the memory during your daily recitation time, but some of our recitations are lasting 2 hours already, so you may wish to do the required class memory only on Monday mornings.

We will be "out and about" this week, so we may not have much to post on Friday, but any goal that has been achieved (which we discussed privately, Becky) or other successful accomplishment will be welcomed.
