Hi there! We had to go offline when the kids were writing and then I was having trouble saving what they wrote when we got online again so I tried publishing instead and that worked. Rosie and I will write now...and hope we can finish a bit quicker this time! Well, we have been having an interesting week. The week before last our toilet got plugged and it was not an easy fix and took several days. We were sure it would be good for a long time, but last Sunday it inexplicably clogged again so Dad decided he'd have to go get a new toilet as this one has never worked very well in its 15 years. When he pulled out the old toilet bowl he found that some of the floor boards were rotting. So we pulled up all the vinyl flooring and found it had been glued over a really nice hardwood floor...which is no longer very nice because the glue is not coming off. We tore out the rotting boards and rotten subfloor...and one discovery led to another until now we have pretty much gutted the whole room including tearing down the plaster and walls on the South and East sides to put in insulation. We had been thinking of what we should do to that bathroom and were not planning on doing anything until summer at least. As Wilson said as we were demolishing the 80 year old plaster, "All because of a plugged toilet." One last comment, if you can bear the topic any longer, when Dad came with the new toilet Wilson carried it in from the car and read the description and comments on it. It said "The choice of professionals." Of course Wilson immediately wondered, "Professional at what!?" That's my boy. Oh boy.
Hi all, Rosie here.
Sorry I didn't post on Friday. Last week I did nine pages in the Latin Henle book, however it was mostly review. In Reading I finished Call it Courage. I did one page in Greek, and two lessons in Geography and one very long lesson in Harvey's Grammar. Outside the snow is very sticky. That's all, bye.
