Josiah: It's been raining down here. I've been butchering some of my roosters to sell and to eat. I did a bit of Latin and Greek this week and I'm trying to finish my history and science books. I just bought 6 goldfish.
Anders: I did some Greek and Latin this week, but not much. Better next week. We're going on a hog-butchering field trip tomorrow, which should be interesting.
Branch: I did 3 lessons of Greek this week. Next week I need to finish a lot of my Reader Books. My pigeons eat a lot of food.
The Girl: I did 3 lessons of Greek, too. It would be nice to finish my Reader Box, but I still have 61 books to finish, mostly Spanish. I'm going Thursday to a local nursing home to learn how to crochet. That will be fun.
Stennes is up at the Shop, and ChubChub is asleep on the couch, so they won't be posting today.
MOM is going to give words of sage advice from first-hand experience at the College this semester:
1. LEARN YOUR ENGLISH GRAMMAR AND BASIC WRITING SKILLS WELL, AS IF YOUR HAIR WERE ON FIRE!!!!! Enough said.
2. Ditch the bad attitudes. Very, very quickly and permanently
3. Do your work well and honorably. Sloth is NOT a virtue; it's a cancer that destroys you.
4. READ READ READ and THINK THINK THINK. Again, enough said.
5. Get your life 100 % lined up with God. The life of a sinner is MISERABLE and HAUNTED.
6. Life is hard. Life is harder when you're stupid and choose to stay that way.
Yep, it's been a challenging week. Gotta find a balance for us, Becky. Pray for me, that I would remember: I am Mean Ol' Mama.
Remember, we'll be posting book reports the last Friday of this month, so choose a really interesting book that you would like to share with all of us. Moms included.
